Amanda Brannon

Hello, Queen City! I joined the Fox 46 team as the 10 p.m. producer in July 2014. Before coming to Charlotte, I worked at WCTI/WFXI in Eastern Carolina for nearly four years as a reporter and producer.

I am originally from Chapel Hill, NC and am a die-hard Carolina fan! After attending Queen’s University of Charlotte my freshman year and studying abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina, I transferred to UNC-Chapel Hill to pursue my interests in communications and television.

Since I didn’t major in broadcasting, most of what I learned about television came from on-the-job training. I interned at NBC-17 and ABC-11 in Raleigh my junior and senior years in college and that’s where I learned the ropes.

After graduating from UNC-Chapel Hill with a BA in Communications and a minor in Hispanic Studies, I spent nearly a year working at UNC-TV, helping produce a travel tourism show called “North Carolina Weekend.” Not only did I help edit segments together, but I also had the opportunity to travel around the state testing out restaurants and different activities like zip lining.

When I’m not working, I enjoy traveling, going out to dinner with friends and spending time with my family. I’m also actively involved in the Junior League of Charlotte and spend a significant time volunteering in the community.

If you have a story idea, please don’t hesitate to send me an email or tweet me @BrannonFox46 because I’d love to hear from you!
