HOBSON CITY — Six members of one of Alabama’s first all-black incorporated communities will travel today to North Carolina.

They’ll look for answers to problems that have plagued the town for decades, such as scarce business development and a lack of cultural tourism. Mayor Alberta McCrory said at a Town Council meeting Monday the group will discuss some of the town’s goals with department heads at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill during the two-day visit on Wednesday and Thursday. They expect to return Friday.
