Appomattox breaks ground on new hotel

Appomattox officially broke ground on the first new hotel in the town in two decades Tuesday morning.

The new 56-room boutique hotel, called Appomattox Inn and Suites, is scheduled to be finished this fall. Located at 150 Loop Road, the inn will have a conference room that can accommodate roughly 150 people.
