ProtectPro enables anyone viewing suspicious activity or feeling threatened directly to record dangerous incidents and notify emergency responders in seconds by pressing one button.

When users launch the app, photos are taken immediately and continue every two seconds. Users can then press the action button to record video, which saves to the phone. If necessary, they can press the action button again to notify their personal contacts through text and email and can then either power down the app or press action again to dial 911. ProtectPro saves photos, video, time, date, and GPS location for future reference. Additionally, ProtectPro posts a private link to the video on YouTube, only available to a user’s connections. This means that even if users’ phones are compromised, they will always have the video available online.
The architect of ProtectPro, Kedar brings an extensive background in information technology, specializing in data analytics and security. He enlisted Richmond, Va.-based app development specialty firm NS804 to develop the coding.
Available immediately on the App Store and coming soon to Google Play, ProtectPro is optimized for iPhone 5 and 6 and is available in the U.S. only. It is free-of-charge for a limited time. Future enhancements will provide greater ease of use and autonomous functionality.
