RALEIGH, N.C. –-The National Folk Festival is a big deal for the Piedmont Triad.
Not only are thousands of people traveling to Greensboro to attend the event, but those people will also stay in the area and visit local stores and restaurants.
But you may be surprised to learn one of the ways the Department of Commerce has been promoting the event.
FOX8’s Stephanie Ando got a rare look inside the 1-800-VisitNC Call Center, which is run by inmates at the North Carolina Correctional Institution for Women.
